Ideal for greeting cards, scrapbooks, and other paper crafts, this cutting machine uses a cartridge-based system (no computer required) for cutting thousands of beautiful letters, shapes, or phrases in a variety of sizes using a 12-by-24-inch mat or a 12-by-12-inch mat. Simply attach the material to be cut to the self-adhesive cutting mat, load it into the machine, insert the cartridge, make a cutting selection, and press “cut”. The machine will quickly and electronically cut out the desired letter, shape, or phrase in seconds. It can cut characters from 1/4 inch to 23-1/2 inches from a variety of materials, including vellum, paper, cardstock, and vinyl.

What all kind of items can you make with a CricutExpressin?

I am looking at purchasing a Cricut machine. I do not scrapbook and I really would not use it to make cards/paper products…..but I would like to use it to make like decorative plates (like a white plate you can buy anywhere with itinials, names, etc..on it), picture frames, metal buckets, etc… Will this machine allow me to do this? I have heard of people even making initial jewelry with this, I am interested in purchasing one if I can get a lot of use out of it. Does anyone have one and know what all they are able to make and if they are worth the purchase…..? Thanks!!

I received my cricut cake machine today! I was so excited that I went out and bought frosting sheets. But they just keep tearing up while they are in the process of being cut. I’ve tried adjusting the speed and pressure, but that doesn’t seem to work.

I am not taking this machine back, so I need help from seasoned cricut cakers!

There’s Cricut Expressions, Cricut Deluxe, etc.
I was looking for the one eith the most features, I was wondering which one that was or which one was best for multiple type of mediums (fabric, paper, wood, etc.) I thought it was the Expressions one but wasn’t sure. The Expressions one is the one with the multiple keyboard button things where you can take off one keyboard pad and place another one with whole other designs on it, right?
