I am interested in buying one but don’t have a lot of money to buy "extra thing" to go with it. If you do is it easy to use and with all the accessories to guy to go with it is it expensive? And does it take an ink cart rage? If so how long does one last or are you always having to replace it?

Can you create your own designs using the Cricut?

I am looking to purchase a Cricut… possibly the expression. Anyway, I do a lot of crafty stuff as I work in a daycare. I find it time consuming to cut out certain shapes and was hoping I could find one of these machines that I could create my own designs. I know cricut has the design studio and I downloaded the trial version and I don’t see anywhere that I can create my own. This might be because it is trial… I am not sure, but I would like to be sure before I purchase one. ‘

Any insight on this? Another machine that might suit my needs better?

The more details the better!

Thanks

I know there is the Cricut, Silhouette, and Wishbone. I know the Silhouette and Cricut will cut vinyl but I was wondering if one is easier. Also the cricut has the personal cutter and expressions if one would work better for images for the wall. I scrapbook but I also like those sayings and images that are put up on to walls to decorate. Has anyone every used there’s for this. Thanks for all your help.
Also many designs show in color, if it is a cutting system how do they come out in color?

Tips for cutting fabric on the cricut machine?

Hi :) I am wanting to try out some applique, and wanted to cut out shapes on my cricut machine. I have looked online for some tips or tutorials, but haven’t really found anything.
I am wanting to know what blade I use, regular or deep. How fast I should cut, and what to set the pressure to.
I will most likely be cutting out thinner fabric, so I doubt I’ll need the deep blade. Would I meed a new mat as well?
Any other tips would be wonderful!

I am a 14-year-old girl that really wants a Cricut Expression. They’re "fun, easy, and fast." One of my friends has one and she really, really likes hers, and I’m always trying to find ways to be more creative. They cost a bunch. Which is about 400 dollars including S&H, and 400 dollars isn’t anything to play with. Please help.

Cutting Tiny Perfect Circles?

February 13, 2010 by admin · 1 Comment

I’ve tried sooooo many things to try and cut small perfect circles. I’ve tried using an craft knife, scissors, pen cutter with a template, and I still cant cut a perfect circle at the sizes I need. The problem I’m having is I need to cut small paper circles at specific sizes. ( 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 14mm,16mm, and 19mm )

I’ve looked all over the web and I can’t find circle punches or anything for that size. I’ve thought of purchasing a cricut die-cutter but I’m not for sure If it will cut my designs out at those sizes? Any information on what I could use or if anyone knows if a die cutter will let me put in my own designs and cut the circles at those sizes would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks - Jennie
